CHAMPAIGN – Tax Day also is D-Day – or Decision Day – for Kelsey Bone and the Illinois women's basketball program.

Kim Williams, mother of Texas high school All-American Kelsey Bone, said Tuesday that her daughter will announce her college decision April 15, the first day of the spring signing period.

Bone, a 6-foot-5 center from Dulles High in Sugar Land, Texas, is No. 1 nationally by Blue Star Basketball. She is deciding between Illinois, South Carolina, Texas and Texas A&M.

"She's still pretty much at those four schools," Williams said. "As far as where she is, I can say it's still pretty much just those four."

Williams said Bone has not decided the manner in which she will reveal her choice. Many high-profile signees elect for a ceremony at their high school.

"Kelsey is debating that," Williams said. "I think part of her may want to do it, but she's also made a comment about kind of quietly doing it. We haven't really gotten to the part of 'how' it will be done, we just know the 'when.' "

Bone is slated to play in a pair of national all-star games before her announcement. She will compete in the McDonald's All-America Game on April 1 in Miami, Fla. (ESPNU, 4:30 p.m.) and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association High School All-America Game at 4:30 p.m. April 4 at Washington University in St. Louis.

If she selects Illinois, Bone would be the most sought-after recruit in UI history. She also would propel a six-member incoming recruiting class – currently rated as high as third – to the No. 1 spot, recruiting analysts say.
