DeBruler rates first-team honor

CHAMPAIGN — Illinois junior outside hitter Laura DeBruler was named a first-team All-American on Wednesday.
It was the second consecutive All-America honor for DeBruler, who received second-team honors a year ago.
UI sophomore right-side hitter Michelle Bartsch, junior middle blocker Johannah Bangert and junior setter Hillary Haen were named honorable mention All-Americans.
DeBruler is the fourth Illinois player to earn first-team All-America honors, joining Mary Eggers, Kirsten Gleis and Erin Borske.
