Depleted UI women's tennis falls

Missing No. 1 player Simone Kung and junior Kara Loffelmacher to injuries, the Illinois women's tennis team fell 5-1 Thursday at South Alabama.
Freshman Carla Rosenberg was the UI's only winner at No. 4 singles with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 victory against Gaelle Gouttefarde.
