Illini tennis cleans up in Classic

The Illinois men's tennis team went 7-2 Sunday and concluded the Fighting Illini Classic with a 36-7 record, five more than No. 9 Florida.
Winners for the UI were Cary Franklin, Matt Snyder, Jakub Teply, Gavin Sontag, Brady Blain, Corbin Archer and Ben Schreiber.
UI women fall
The Illinois women's tennis team fell 6-3 to North Carolina on Sunday in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Stacy Schapiro was the Illini's lone singles winner, beating Tar Heel Sarah Hawkins 6-3, 6-1.
