UI tennis team breezes to win

The University of Illinois women''s tennis team, paced by freshman Simone Kung and junior Stacy Schapiro, defeated Illinois-Chicago 8-1 on Monday at Atkins Tennis Center.
Kung bounced Serena Xie 6-1, 6-4 in No. 1 singles, and Schapiro defeated Jacki Farr 6-1, 6-1 in No. 2 singles.
Other Illinois winners included Megan Wise (No. 3 singles), Kara Loffelmacher (No. 4 singles), Allison Gottlieb (No. 5 singles) and Liana Aguero (No. 6 singles).
