Illini add five more freshmen

CHAMPAIGN – Illinois coach Terri Sullivan announced five signees to her incoming freshman class Friday, bringing to 10 the number of new players for next season.
The newcomers include Florida infielder Jessica Davis; West Chicago catcher Linnea Detrick; Lincoln-Way Central utility player Gabe Gavoni; Normal infielder Katie Lutes; and Georgia pitcher Monica Perry. Lutes was a member of Normal's 2007 Class 2A state championship team.
