Soccer team 17th in poll

CHAMPAIGN — The Illinois soccer team was ranked 17th by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in its preseason poll Tuesday.
Illinois is one of three Big Ten teams in the rankings. Penn State is No. 12 and Minnesota No. 19. It is the sixth straight season the Illini have been ranked in the preseason poll.
