Masar, Red Stars top Illinois

CHAMPAIGN — Former Illini Ella Masar, an Urbana product, scored a goal to help lead the Chicago Red Stars to an 8-0 exhibition victory against Illinois on Tuesday night.
The Illini trailed 1-0 at halftime.
“For the current players to see their former teammates as professionals, I think it means a ton for them,” UI coach Janet Rayfield said.
