Maryland swats down Illini netters

The Illinois women's tennis team got wins from No. 2 singles player Susanne Land and No. 6 Jessica Klapper but fell 7-2 to Maryland on Thursday in Tallahassee, Fla.
The Illini, who play Florida State today, next play at home April 5 against Wisconsin.
Sitter leads UI women golfers
Jillian Sitter finished in a 79th-place tie as the Illinois women's golf team finished 22nd at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Oahu, Hawaii.
The second-highest Illini was Jacqueline Rubin, who tied for 97th.
