Michigan State star facing drunken driving charge
EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State basketball star Korie Lucious faces a charge of operating while intoxicated.
The 20-year-old guard was pulled over early Monday near campus and his blood-alcohol level was 0.09 percent.
He has 10 days to be arraigned and hadn't as of mid-afternoon Tuesday.
Michigan State spokesman John Lewandowski says the school knows of the ticket and is gathering information.
Lucious made a game-winning, three-point shot to lift the Spartans into the round of 16 in the NCAA tournament last season and helped them advance to the Final Four. The Milwaukee native was suspended for a game last season for missing class.
---- He's expected to be a key player this season as a junior on a team expected to be one of the nation's best
