Ask Klee if the Illini recruits have a chance to make the cut here

News you can't leave work without:

For the first time since 1982, Chicago will host the McDonald's All-American games.

The 2011 games will be played March 30 at the United Center. The girls will play on ESPNU and the boys on ESPN.

Among the candidates are three Illini recruits from the Chicago area: Mycheal Henry, Nnanna Egwu and Tracy Abrams.

In 1982, nearly 16,000 fans filled Rosemont Horizon as Kenny Walker scored a team-high 20 points for the West in a 103-84 win. Among those playing included Benoit Benjamin, Dell Curry, Brad Daugherty, Johnny Dawkins, Billy Thompson and Wayman Tisdale.

Chicago stars to play in McDonald's games include Mark Aguire (1978), Isiah Thomas (1979), Doc Rivers (1980), Nick Anderson (1986), Juwan Howard (1991), Antoine Walker (1994), Kevin Garnett (1995), Quentin Richardson (1998), Dee Brown (2002), Sherron Collins (2006) and Derrick Rose (2007).
