Today, three highly touted prep basketball players are expected to ship their letters of intent to Bruce Weber, who has lined up his second consecutive nationally ranked recruiting class. Beat writer Paul Klee sat down with all three players in advance of their big day.

Said he faxed his letter of intent to Illinois at 10:42 a.m. today
What do you expect when you get to Illinois?
"We're looking to get down here, to play hard, play together and definitely put the talent on one floor. Final Fours, back-to-backs, whatever you want to say."
After going through the process, would you recommend an early commitment?
"It just depends on what kind of situation you're in. In my situation I wanted to get it out of the way early, because I knew I would be bombarded by different colleges. For me, it was to get it out of the way early. That's all it was."
How long will you be at Illinois?
"It just depends on how hard I feel like working. It could be one (year), it could be four. If I did do four years, it wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen. But who knows?"
Consider the fact that a college education leading to the completion of a degree is a very noteworthy goal to accomplish. Think about the idea that your undergraduate college years can never be replaced by money alone. Think seriously about staying in school all four years, enjoy those years and earn your degree. Go Illini!!
I don't think Jereme meant he wouldn't be hard working, just not to extreme of standing out as the star and looking for that national acclaim, glory and slotted as a lottery pick. Jereme just wants to let the game come to him, jell with his team, let the whole college experience soak in and have some fun. Don't put pressure or expectations on him to be the star and subordinate his teammates. He has the right attitude and is a consummate team player.
