Troy Gentle's weekly update on the eight players headed Bruce Weber's way and the six players headed Jolette Law's way:

MEN

TRACY ABRAMS (Mount Carmel) — Had 10 points, six rebounds and three assists but could not stop De La Salle from rolling to a 64-46 win last Friday. The Caravan hosts St. Ignatius in a Catholic League crossover game Friday.

JOSEPH BERTRAND (Sterling) — Scored 16 points as Sterling beat Dixon for the third time this season 61-51 last Friday. Tuesday saw the Golden Warriors fall to Freeport 51-50 despite Bertrand's 19-point effort. Sterling will host Ottawa on Friday.

MEYERS LEONARD (Robinson) —
Had a double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds) in a 62-56 win against Paris last Friday, then scored 14 points in a 44-42 win against Olney East Richland on Tuesday. The Maroons face Salem on Friday.

BRANDON PAUL (Warren) — 
joined the 1,000 point club last Friday, leading the Blue Devils to a 51-47 win over Libertyville last Friday. Warren will face Glenbrook North in the City-Suburban Shootout at Northwestern Saturday.

D.J. RICHARDSON (Findlay Prep, Las Vegas, Nev.) —  After a lethargic first half, Findlay Prep exploded with 31 third-quarter points and rolled past Foothill 92-58 Wednesday. Stoneridge Prep (Simi Valley, CA.) is up Friday.

JEREME RICHMOND (Waukegan) — Despite racking up 28 points (17 in the fourth quarter) and six rebounds, Richmond and Waukegan fell to Lake County rival Zion-Benton 95-86 Tuesday. Emotions boiled over in the first half as Richmond was given his first technical foul of the season. The Bulldogs will face Niles West on Friday.

CRANDALL HEAD (Crane) —
Michael Jordan's son Marcus was too much for Crane as Whitney Young won 67-60 Wednesday in the Public League Playoffs. Head had 11 points after a 1-for-7 start.

TYLER GRIFFEY (Lafayette, Mo.) —
Displayed his defensive skills last Friday, contributing seven steals and four blocked shots to go with 18 points as Lafayette beat Marquette 54-41. Thanks to Griffey's 25 points, the Lancers were able to hold off a determined Howell Central on Tuesday, winning 71-60. Lindbergh is next on Friday.

WOMEN

ADRIENNE GODBOLD (Marshall) —The Commandos ran into the Whitney Young buzzsaw last Friday, committing 14 turnovers in their first 17 possessions in a Public League Tournament semifinal loss. GodBold scored 18 points despite sitting out more than a full quarter with foul trouble.  

BRIANNA JONES (Toledo Central Catholic, Ohio) — Scored 15 points, but could not stop Toledo City League leaders Start on Wednesday, losing 68-46. The Irish face Pickerington Central Saturday, then start City League Tournament play Wednesday as the No. 3 seed.

KERSTEN MAGRUM (Lincoln-Way East) —
Scored 28 points and hauled down 10 rebounds as the Griffins steamrolled Lincoln-Way Central 67-47 last Saturday. On Tuesday, Magrum scored 22 points as the Griffins (23-4, 9-0 Southwest Suburban Red) beat Bradley-Bourbonnais 63-43.

AMBER MOORE (Detroit Country Day, Mich.) —
Had 10 points as Country Day rolled over Consortium Prep, 72-19. A matchup with Toledo powerhouse (and Central Catholic rival) Jesuit Waite is next on Saturday.

KARISMA PENN (Shaker Heights, Ohio) — After being held to nine points in a 36-28 lkoss to Mentor last Saturday, Penn dropped 28 points on Jesuit Waite the next day. Euclid is next on Friday

DESTINY WILLIAMS (Benton Harbor, Mich.) —
Was selected on Tuesday to play in the McDonald's All-American game on April 1. She is currently averaging 29.3 points per game. The Tigers face off against Niles on Friday.
