Schuldt wins IWGA Juniors

SAVOY -- Illinois signee Ember Schuldt shot 7-under 69 Wednesday to win the Illinois Women's Golf Association Junior Girls tournament on the UI Orange Course.
Schuldt finished at 15-under 137 for the 36-hole event. She won by 7 strokes.
Guthrie second. Illinois' Luke Guthrie finished second, 1 stroke behind champion Eric Meierdierks of Wilmette, in the Illinois Open at Hawthorn Woods.
Guthrie shot a final-round 70 and finished at 5 under. Meierdierks shot 68 and came in at 6 under.
UI men's golf coach Mike Small shot 68 and tied for third at 2 under. Former Illini Garrett Chaussard wound up at 6 over and tied for 25th.
Champaign's Tim Hoss Jr. fired a 72 Wednesday to finish at 8 over, tying for 36th place.
