Henry being honored
|
There won’t be a football game for Trulon Henry Saturday. That’s OK. Because he will get to play with his daughter Tatum and hug wife Morgan.
“I’m thankful to be alive,” Henry said.
Less than a week after getting shot in the hand, Henry attended the final Illini Quarterback Club luncheon. The seniors were honored, including Henry. He wore a sling over a large cast that covers his right arm.
The bullet went through Henry’s hand and shattered a bone in his arm. His recovery will go into 2012 and cost him the final three games of his college career.
The team will honor Henry during today’s game against Wisconsin, the players wearing stickers on their helmets that reads “Tru.”
