Ex-Illini in the NFL: Week 9 11/6

A look at how former Illini fared in the NFL in Week 9

Jon Asamoah, Chiefs. Offensive lineman recovered a teammate’s fumble, but the unit allowed five sacks in home loss.

Alan Ball, Cowboys. Cornerback had four tackles and was flagged once (23 yards) for pass interference in home win.

Arrelious Benn, Buccaneers. Starting receiver had two catches for 22 yards and also was flagged once for offensive pass interference in road loss.

Josh Brent, Cowboys. Defensive tackle saw action but didn’t have any tackles in home win.

Vontae Davis, Dolphins. Inactive (hamstring).

David Diehl, Giants. Starting left guard protected the QB (no sacks) and helped team run for 111 yards in road victory.

Kelvin Hayden, Falcons. Reserve corner had seven tackles (third best on team), including one for loss, and also picked off a pass in road blowout.

Michael Hoomanawanui, Rams. Starting tight end was not thrown to in road overtime loss.

Corey Liuget, Chargers. Reserve defensive end had one tackle in wild home loss.

Brandon Lloyd, Rams. Receiver was thrown to 13 times, catching five for 80 yards in OT loss.

Rashard Mendenhall, Steelers. Tailback had a 1-yard TD run among his 13 carries for 52 yards in home loss.

Brit Miller, Rams. Fullback had two carries for 1 yard and a pair of special teams tackles. He also was whistled for two penalties for 20 yards.

Brandon Moore, Jets. Starting right guard helped pave the way for 126 yards and Jets allowed only one sack in road win.

Tony Pashos, Browns. It was a rough day for starting right tackle and his linemates (44 rushing yards, four sacks allowed) in road loss.

Neil Rackers, Texans. Kicker was 3 for 3 on field goals (21, 28 and 50 yards) and also kicked three extra points. He also was credited with a tackle on a kickoff return.

Pierre Thomas, Saints. Backup tailback carried it eight times for 66 yards with a 9-yard touchdown in home win. Also caught four passes for 25 yards.

Steve Weatherford, Giants. Punted eight times (345 yards) — five pinning the Pats inside the 20.

Martez Wilson, Saints. Backup linebacker saw action but had no tackles in home win.
