Tucker delaying entry

East St. Louis defensive tackle Clint Tucker, who signed with Illinois in February, won't be attending the school this season because of an academic shortfall.
The 6-foot-2, 285-pounder, rated a three-star recruit by Rivals.com, will instead enroll at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va. If all goes well, the plan is for Tucker to join the Illini for the 2012 season.
Tucker picked Illinois over Kansas, Kentucky and others. He was a star player for Darren Sunkett with the Flyers.
