Big hit for secondary

CHAMPAIGN -- Starting cornerback Terry Hawthorne will miss 4 to 6 weeks with a stress reaction in his right foot.

He is the second lost starter this week in the secondary following Supo Sanni, who tore his Achilles' tendon and is out for the season.

"When it rains it pours," coach Ron Zook said.

I'm sure that somehow, somewhere the Illini Nation Malcontents will blame this on the athletic director.

Huge blow

How about you Mr. Coleman?

Well Cecil, why not extend Zook for another year, as he did on July 15, 2009?

After all, instead of going 3-9 this year, when they go 2-10, His Excellency and Zook will say that, "if we would have had all of our horses, we would have gone to a bowl." line of crap.

No just some poor recruiting.....NO DEPTH!

Really..does it matter? The misery is simply starting early for another pathetic season with Zook at the helm!

And the saga continues as we keep getting thinner and thinner. It's going to be a long year.

Look for the silver lining Illini fans. These players will rehab and make it back on the field. Meanwhile others will get game experience and the overall result is depth in the secondary. Go Illini.

I agree with Jam!
