Camp Rantoul: Morning Report

-- Camp Rantoul is going to be invaded later this afternoon by the Big Ten Network. The station has an area roped off near the field and a production trailer ready to go to work when Howard Griffith, Gerry DiNardo and Dave Revsine arrive.

-- Need to correct an earlier report. The coverage of Illinois on the Big Ten Network won't appear on the air until next Monday at 7 p.m. That's different than the past, when the shows would air the same day.

-- The Ilini were in shoulder pads and shorts for the morning workout. The team will be in full pads for the evening session, which starts at 6:15 p.m.

-- After a scorching hot first week, today's morning practice was in almost perfect conditions. Temperatures were in the mid-70s and the humidity was reasonable.

-- Illinois athletic director Ron Guenther stopped by for the morning workout. Afterward, he talked with Ron Zook about his impressions of Saturday's scrimmage.
