Camp Rantoul: Morning Report

-- It's going to be a scorcher during today's practice, which starts at 3:30 p.m. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-90s with the heat index in the low 100s. Ron Zook said after Thursday's evening practice that his players are well educated about dealing with the heat.

-- One way to deal with the heat is to go swimming. The players went to the Hap Parker Family Aquatic Center this morning to splash around and go down the water slides. The trip has become an annual event for the team.

-- One of Zook's military buddies is scheduled to do a flyover at the start of today's practice. Zook visited troops in the Middle East earlier in the year.

-- Nathan Scheelhaase was sharp during Thursday's evening practice, throwing passes on target and performing well during the team period.
