Our take: One of two fullbacks in the class, he will be given an early opportunity to show he is up for the job. Though he had interest from other I-A schools before Illinois made a scholarship offer, he likely was headed to a I-AA school. Illinois has had great success in the past with underrecruited guys (see J Leman, Jon Asamoah, etc.)

Why Illinois? "I'm blown away by it athletically. It's in one of the best conferences in college football. And then the academics also. It's probably a school that I wouldn't have been able to get into without the football to go along with it. That really appealed to me. Plus, it's my state school."   

What's your favorite moment in football? "That's a rough question. There was a play that I had that would have been big. We played Cary-Grove. I scored the touchdown that would have won the game, but unfortunately they came back and scored a touchdown with 19 seconds left."

Favorite football player, college or pro: "Somebody who goes to my gym, Tommie Harris, I look up to."

What school do you want to see the Big Ten add? "I'd like to see either Cincinnati or Missouri."

College football playoff or BCS? "I like the current way it's set up."
What is your hidden talent? "I am really good at drawing."

Are you playing in the Missouri game? "It really depends on how the summer goes."

What do you need to improve most before the start of the season? "Probably getting faster and getting used to the offense and the speed of the game."
