News-Gazette All-State defensive back Corey Cooper will announce his college choice during a 9 a.m. Wednesday press conference at Proviso East's board room.
Cooper, who has long been considered a soft verbal commit for Illinois, is reportedly down to the Illini and Nebraska.
Proviso East athletic director Andrew Johnson said Tuesday that Cooper hasn't given any indication of which school he will pick or how he will make the announcement.
