With Michigan coming to Memorial Stadium on Saturday, it's time to give beleaguered Illini football fans a pick-me-up from the  video vaults. Aside from the legendary Red Grange game on the day Memorial Stadium opened, is there a bigger Illini win against the Wolverines than this 1993 visit to the Big House? The focus in this five-minute-plus clip is Illinois' last-minute  comeback, set up by a forced fumble by Simeon Rice. Then Johnny Johnson and Co. went to work on the winning drive, capped by the QB's under-pressure throw to Jim Klein for a 15-yard TD that sank the Wolverines, 24-21. Illini fans will be reminded that Johnson made a remarkably athletic move just to escape pressure, then threw a perfectly placed pass to Klein in the end zone. You'll see several replays from multiple angles of the winning play and the Illini celebration that followed their first win at Michigan Stadium since 1966. Had to be Lou Tepper's BEST moment as a head coach. Johnny Johnson's and Jim Klein's, too. Be forewarned the video images are pretty murky. But, as the person who posted this clip writes, "but it's better than nothing." We're guessing Illini fans will agree.
