Illini add two grid recruits

There's not enough room under any tree for all of Illinois football coach Ron Turner's December commitments.

Especially with the addition of yet another offensive lineman, this one 6-foot-5, 280-pound News-Gazette All-Stater Aaron Hodges of Rich Central.

Hodges, who also considered Northwestern and Miami, informed Turner on Monday that he would join brother Brian, a freshman tight end, at Illinois.

"My brother's down there, and I'm really comfortable with the campus," Aaron Hodges said Tuesday. "I know the coaches and players and some other students there."

Hodges joins three other offensive linemen – Sean Bubin of Rantoul, Jim Bloodworth of Warren Hills, N.J., and Chris Rucks of Chicago Stevenson – along with 14 other early commitments to the UI. Turner has seven spots left to fill.
