Hot-hitting Giller named an all-star

ROCHESTER, Minn. — Illini infielder Mike Giller has been selected to the Northwoods League All-Star team.
Giller leads the Northwoods League in hitting at .376. Primarily a first baseman with Illinois, Giller will start at shortstop for the July 21 All-Star Game in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Giller leads the league in hits with 59 and is tied for third with 31 RBI.
Illinois’ Josh Parr recently was named the starting second baseman for the West team in the Prospect League All-Star Game.
