Ask the expert: Jeff Huth
A: Not that we're rooting for the Cubs to have any more injuries, but should the team lose either of its catchers, you could see an ex-Illini on the roster the next day. Chris Robinson, Illini MVP in 2004, is next in line if the Cubs need another catcher and don't look outside their minor league system. And he's giving GM Jim Hendry reason not to look elsewhere with a breakout season for Class AAA Iowa. Robinson began the year sharing the job with ex-big leaguer Mark Johnson but a strong bat not only has kept him in the lineup but earn the Canada native a spot in the Class AAA All-Star Game on July 15. Keep an eye, too, on ex-Illini pitcher Jason Anderson, a Danville native who's having a solid season as a reliever for the Phillies' Class AAA team, Lehigh Valley.
