Spencer Harris
Receiver
Greenwood (Ark.)
6-3, 180

Our take: Illinois offensive coordinator Paul Petrino took a liking to Harris at a camp during his days at Arkansas. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound receiver has a great frame and had 81 catches for 1,455 yards and 21 touchdowns despite receiving double-team coverage most of his senior season. He doesn't have the breakaway speed of elite recruits but could be a reliable red-zone target. He could be the sleeper of this class.

Why Illinois? "For one reason, Paul Petrino is here and we get along great. Plus, it's a great conference to play in, and I love the people."

Favorite moment in football: "Winning state my sophomore year (as a starting wide receiver)."

Favorite football player, college or pro: "Michael Crabtree."

College football playoff or BCS? "Probably BCS because I think the bowls are a lot of fun. I really enjoy watching them, and I think it'd be great to play in one."

Are you playing in the Missouri game? "That all depends on the personnel, who else committed and how I progress in the offseason. I'll try to and would love to if I can, but I'll do whatever is better for the team."

What do you need to improve most before the start of the season? "I'm probably going to get back to lifting weights once I get done with basketball. That will give me a chance to gain all my muscle back and get bigger."
