Legion arrested

Illinois basketball player Alex Legion has been arrested for driving on a suspended license.

The transfer from Kentucky was pulled over on Monday at Fifth and Green in Champaign, according to the report. Legion must appear in court May 4.

An Illinois spokesman said the suspended license was due to a previous driving offense in Michigan.

Bruce Weber wasn't expected to comment on the matter.

Legion appeared in 22 games in his first season at Illinois, averaging 3.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in a reserve role.
