News you can't leave work without:
Seth Davis of CBS and Sports Illustrated moved Illinois into his Top 25 this week.
"It certainly wasn't that stellar performance against Penn State! I've felt all season long like Illinois was one of the best teams in the country, I just didn't think they had been playing as well as the other teams I stuck on the end of my ballot. To be honest, it's not like I put a ton of thought into it, because after all, this ain't college football and polls don't mean so much. (And thank goodness for that.) But I'm always impressed with teams that beat good teams on the road, and Illinois certainly did that against Ohio State."
Davis had become a target on Illinois message boards when he failed to list Bruce Weber's Illini on his ballot.
"Believe me, I know how passionate Illinois fans are. They blew me away at the Final Four in 2005. I think it's terrific. What's funny to me about this stuff is that fans are usually the toughest critics on their teams, yet as soon as someone else says something negative they rally. If I worried about message boards, I'd never be able to type."
Who cares what that lil dweed has to say bout Illinois. Not like hes part of a NCAA selection committee.

well LSU is leading there conferance with one loss so they probably would need to be that high.
The dweeb ranks on my list just above Dickie V.
I know he made a good point that polls are a joke, im was more or less saying who cares how good a team looks playing if they are winning. Just look at the NFL, you cant tell me watching the Steelers or Ravens were fun to watch but they kept winning.
