Wampler boosts golfers to fourth

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — Illinois sophomore golfer Kaitlyn Wampler carded a second-round 72 to lift her team into fourth place Tuesday at the Ron Moore Women’s Intercollegiate outside Denver.
The Illini recorded a second-round 296 and were at 608. The University of Denver leads at 585.
Wampler was tied for fifth at 149.
