The Illinois board of trustees is expected to approve a one-year contract extension for football coach Ron Zook during next Thursday's meeting.

Zook's current contract runs through the 2012 season. The new deal will run until after the 2013 season.

Zook won't be getting a raise with the contract extension. His salary remains $1,505,000. Of that money, $200,000 is an annual contribution to a deferred compensation account.

Illinois is 19-30 in Zook's four seasons. The 2007 Illini finished 9-4 and earned a berth in the Rose Bowl.
