Camp MVPs

By Bob Asmussen

They don't hand out MVP awards at Camp Rantoul. So staff writer Bob Asmussen, who spent most of three weeks in the Pacesetter Community, came up with his own list.

PLAYER   COMMENT

1. Chris Duvalt   Converted cornerback catching everything, while also easing the temporary loss of Jeff Cumberland.

2. Juice Williams   Passing better than ever and taking over as the team's unquestioned leader.

3. David Lindquist   One-time walk-on a key to the defensive line, especially after Sirod Williams was lost for the season.

4. Jon Asamoah    Quiet leader of the offensive line can play multiple positions. You'll see big gains with running backs and Williams following his lead.

5. Rich Thomas   Rantoul recreation guru had the fields in perfect shape and somehow managed to keep the rain away.
