Marathon: 1,921 (1,298 men, 623 women)

Half-marathon: 4,167

Relay: 824 (206 teams)

5K: 2,215

1K: 293 (final registration today 11 a.m.-2 p.m., UI Assembly Hall lobby, $10 entry fee for 3 p.m. race)

Total: 9.420 (plus late 1K entries)

Number of states represented: 42

States not represented: Hawaii, Kansas, Maine, Montana, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia.

Number of countries represented: 6 (Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Germany, New Zealand and United States)

Oldest male marathoner: Ray Scharenbrock, 75, from Milwaukee

Oldest female marathoner: Sharon Kerson, 67, from Culver City, Calif.

Number of men competing: 4,357

Number of women competing: 5,104

Number of Illinoisans competing: 7,759 (86 perecent of total)

Number of volunteers: 2,650
