CHAMPAIGN – An injury has ended Ashley Edinger's record-setting volleyball career at Illinois.
An MRI test this week on the senior libero's left knee revealed a season-ending ACL tear, the school announced Wednesday. Edinger, the Illini's career digs leader, was injured Saturday during the third set of a Big Ten match at Purdue.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Angela Bizzarri finished a career-high second at the Big Ten cross-country meet Sunday, leading a pack of four All-Big Ten runners and helping the Illini women to a runner-up finish.
Bizzarri, who became Illinois' first four-time All-Big Ten first-teamer, ran the 6-kilometer course in 20 minutes, 10 seconds.

PARK RIDGE — Illinois cross-country runner Angela Bizzarri was selected as Big Ten Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Angela Bizzarri won the White race at the Pre-Nationals Invitational cross-country meet on Saturday, leading No. 18 Illinois to fifth place in the 37-team field.
The Illini senior finished the 6-kilometer event in 20 minutes, 27.8 seconds – the No. 3 overall time behind Blue race champion Jenny Barringer (19:50.9) of Colorado and runner-up Susan Kuijken (20:20.8) of Florida State.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Kylie McCulley had 22 kills and No. 12 Illinois rallied from two sets down to defeat No. 6 Michigan 21-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-21, 15-11 on Saturday.
