CHAMPAIGN — Centennial product Collin DeDecker, who helped lead Parkland’s baseball team to the national title last season, will join current teammates Kevin Kiermaier and Nick Wittgren next school year at Purdue University.
DeDecker started 46 games at third base as a Cobras freshman and batted .354.
“Collin is a tremendous defensive player that is improving at the plate every day. He is an athletic kid that will compete for infield time at Purdue next season,” Parkland coach Matt Kennedy said.
Parkland’s Brandon Stevens (Indianapolis) and Ryan Wides (Noblesville, Ind.) have committed to the University of Indianapolis, a Division II school that competes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Stevens, a transfer from Bradley, will split time behind the plate and on the mound for the Cobras.
Wides, a transfer from the University of Evansville, is expected to play several positions this season for Parkland.
Richie Ollier, a left-handed pitcher from Cincinnati, orally committed to Northern Kentucky University, another Division II school that competes in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
