Dan Hartleb's Illini baseball team will get to play at the spring training home of the world champion Philadelphia Phillies as part of the Big Ten/Big East Challenge in February.

The Illini will take on South Florida at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Fla., on Feb. 27.

The Illini open against Notre Dame on Feb. 26 at Clearwater's Jake Russell Stadium and finish against defending Big East champ St. John's on Feb. 26 at Naomoli Complex in St. Petersburg.

Said Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany: "This experience gives our programs the chance to compete in outstanding weather in some of the nation's finest baseball facilities."
