Former Illini catcher Chris Robinson has been named to the Pacific Coast League All-Star team, which faces the International League in the annual Class AAA All-Star game July 15 in Portland, Ore.
ESPN2 will carry the 9 p.m. start.
Robinson will start and share catching duties with Sacramento's Eric Munson.
Robinson is hitting .319 with 30 RBI and a .440 slugging percentage in 54 games for the Iowa Cubs. It is his first All-Star honor at any level of the minor leagues.
