Tennisrecruiting.net is reporting that Michelle Dasso's Illini women's team has received commitments from two high school seniors: Melissa Kopinski of Palos Hills Stagg and Julia Jamieson of Wilmette Loyola Academy. Kopinski placed fourth in singles at the 2009 IHSA state tournament. Tennisrecruiting.net rates Kopinski as a blue chip five-star recruit and ranks her No. 23 nationally in the Class of 2011. Jamieson, a four-star recruit, is ranked 59th in her class. Kopinski is the twin sister of UI men's commitment Tim Kopinski, a four-star recruit from Stagg.
How will Justin Green perform is his first start at cornerback?
Well, you know he is going to try. Really, really hard. But the guy has been on defense for less than two weeks and had little work at cornerback before arriving at Illinois. Had he moved to the position during the spring, he would have a chance to be a royal pain for the Missouri passing game. But with little training and a lot of pressure, it could be a long day. He'll get better. And by the end of the season, the change will look brilliant. Just not now.
So who wins Saturday? Tom Young has some thoughts. But he want to hear from you.

Q: Tell me something people don't know about you.
A: I can't swim at all. As a child, I wasn't in the water a lot. I'm definitely going to learn how to swim because I want to go to the pool and impress the ladies. Swimming helps your body. I can't swim. I sink.
There is an answer, one that can be implemented as early as 2015: have Illinois play every other year in St. Louis. Only, not against Missouri.
In terms of recruiting and fan base, St. Louis is No. 1 for Illinois outside the state. The school has to pay attention or risk losing future players/students/fans.
