Yes, but more often than not, they're good shots within 6 feet of the hoop. The fact that we can't make those is much ore troubling.

We finished the half on a 19-8 run, thing like rebounding hopefully are easily fixable. Lets hope we can blow them out in the 2nd half and get ready for the biggun.

mike davis really struggles in physical games like this. he just doesn't pay any attention to where the ball is, where it is coming off the rim, and his lack of strength keeps him from holding on to the boards he is fortunate enough to find. he jumps with no sense of timing and often takes himself out of the play. for the record when a game is called like this one is being called you are going to get exactly what we are seeing.

this is example A of why big ten games look ugly. they call this tight to begin with and the players have to adjust.

Very tough, physical game. We got better after we shut Johnson off from scoring layups all the time. We need to rebound better; giving them too many 2nd chances.

giving teams second chances is what we have done all season and i don't think that is going to correct itself until the mikes gets stronger. we knew this coming into the season and it has cost us at least a couple of games.

teams that are more finesse oriented we handle well. somebody like purdue isn't a very good rebounding team and they can't take advantage of our weaknesses.
