Finally get a stop, but backed up at the 10. rolleyes.gif
BSauer2
Stuck studying for law finals. Anybody know if/where I can get a radio feed off my computer for free?
blocki75
We sure have a tough time stopping teams on 3rd down! eusa_wall.gif
OskeeWowWowDig
We need new defensive coordinators. I'm tired of the 2 deep.
tizzyfor3
13 play, 77 yard drive by the "Cats. Looked pretty easy.
blocki75
Looked like Bob Babich and the Lovie Tampa 2 out there. 7-0 NW.
cnnillini
Mike Locksley is unbelievable. The are blitzing every passing down and he continues to not make adjustments. As a coordinator he is beyond terrible.
RS57
Greg Robinson is out as head coach at Syracuse. Robinson IS a top flight D-coordinator. Zook better look long and hard at trying to hire him, if he is serious about trying to turn this putrid defense around next yr.

OskeeWowWowDig

OskeeWowWowDig

PAT was missed. 6-0 NW. redface.gif
OskeeWowWowDig
i shudder to think where we'd be without Brit
JDL
Looks like these guys are OK with staying home for the holidays. :(
Elwin Illini
What you are seeing is a team that has quit. The next time Ron Zook gets a team mentally prepared to play will be the first time.
marv
I've never seen a player go from so good to so bad faster than Juice Williams has. It's like he forgot everything he's learned since he got here.
tizzyfor3
How is it that when we blitz, we can't get to the QB, but when we get blitzed, we get sacked more often than not?
boomauer
I hope that our secondary and our defensive coaches are noticing that #10 is getting the ball thrown to him on every play. 10 is going to set a reception record today.
OskeeWowWowDig
This is an excellent question. I fear the answer is somewhere along the lines of - our O-line ain't very good.

For those who need a radio feed... http://radiotime.com/WebTuner.aspx?StationId=32691&

Hopefully it's still working.

Announcer just said NW "just wants it more". Can't disagree.

Bellamy, pick up your jock!!!

It is. Many thanks.

Edit: Wow...tuned in just in time.

Our secondary is really, really pathetic. Really embarrassing.
RS57
After this years 5-7, next years 7-5 will look better than it really is. At least this team is consistant. All phases of the game are bad.
naF inillI
I hate our game plans, both sides of the ball.
tizzyfor3
Pitiful display of defense! This is a team using their 3rd string RB & average receivers & they are marching up & down the field!

This team quit 6 weeks ago.

what a shame with so much talent.

D coords must go, old syracuse coach is a must get to fill defense spot.

I'm fine with Locks, to me it looks more like execution than game calling at this point. It's Isiah and the receivers that need to recognize the blitz and run the hot routs.
marv
i've been a staunch juice supporter all year, and i truly think that he gives us the best chance to win.

but

next year, the qb race should be wide open between juice, mcgee, and charest. if anyone can take the job from juice, let them do it, because he's looked like a freshman since the michigan game.
blocki75
Looked like some holding by #64 in purple, but he got the time to throw it back across the field. 13-0.
BSauer2
Even when a play goes well they'll find a way to make it risky...lucky fumble recovery after a nice run by Juice.
lefty
I,m 54 years old and our secondary couldn't cover me. Offensively, Juice doesn't have the basic football knowledge to get rid of the ball instead of taking the sack. I've said it before, this team SUCKS!!!! No emotion, no desire, no execution, no offense, no defense=home for the holidays.
blocki75
Another sack on Juice! cuss.GIF
ChieftimusPrime
Our O-line is complete and utter garbage.

Complete. And utter.

So is the secondary without Donsay, although it certainly doesn't help that they've spent 2/3 of the whole game on the field.
naF inillI
We had like 7 guys in to block and 4 rushed and got a sack. WTF???
BleedILLINI
what happened to juice williams, is it locksleys play calling that is making juice look so horrible or maybe it is the o-line, but he looks absolutely pathetic.
Illini82
As said by someone above this team has just quit. No fire or desire.

If you are down to your last game and possible bowl what more motivation do you need?

Just pathetic. The game is over and these guys quit weeks ago.

I have very little confidence in a winning season next year and I have been patient with Zook and Juice but both have regressed.

IF we do this again next year then it's time for the Zook era to be over. This is inexcusable. Just sad.

lefty
I'm glad I will never see this team play again after today.
RS57
That tipped catch is the season; in a microcosm.
boomauer
So, according to the announcers we are wearing blue pants... because we are playing on turf and we didn't want to wear white pants because they might get too dirty. Wow! eusa_wall.gif

Disagree. That would imply we've played well and things just haven't gone our way. Fact of the matter is, since the Michigan game, we haven't done much right at all.
lefty
I want McGee to quarterback and I want it NOW!!!

Aside from Iowa, we haven't beat a good team all season.
FredrickFremont
That was a sweet late hit at a sweet time by Donsay last week. Did he "shake 'em up" after that play, I forget?

marv
Nope. And as great as the Iowa win was, we did just about everything we could to try to lose that game. And Iowa still isn't that good..
BleedILLINI
we want mcgee, we want mcgee. I thought juice had a strong arm, why does he always under throw the ball

Illinois Football 2008: The Journey to Suckage

and Zooker better open up the qb spot to competition next year and maybe juice and mcgee will push each other
lefty
Where in the hell are our defensive backs??? NW receivers have a 3 yard cushion every pass. This is maddening!!!
blocki75
They would have converted another easy 3rd down, but the guy just dropped it.
