I've never seen two players blow more coverages than Wilson and Bellamy. They are oblivious to who they are trying to cover until they are chasing them while 10 yards behind.

it'll be interesting to see if we can get a pass rush against a MAC team without blitzing. Their QB had way too much time and easy throwing lanes on the first drive.

Has anyone explained the concept of pass coverage to the DB's, it doesn't mean just hanging around in the general vicinity of the receivers.

Can anyone watching tell me whether that defensive holding on Hicks was a good call? The announcers on the radio seemed confused, just wondering if it was close or a good call or what? Would have been nice for him to get another one.

Good point. Although if there was a hold it had to be way before the INT. There was nothing there to call. The ball was slowed by the tip and Hicks stepped in front and picked it.

in a positive note, if i was not watching this terrible game with terrible commentators in standard definition on a crappy local channel 50, i would not know that Magic's Secrets Revealed was being televised still...I'll set the DVR

A couple comments:
- Liuget just had an awesome play. Explodes into the center, knocks him two yards back, then disengages to tackle the RB
- For being our running down LB, Sam Carson seems quite solid in coverage as well
- I don't recall Tavon Wilson getting much PT before, but he at least seems to always be in position, and know where the ball is.

This defense is so inconsistent. I mean we look like we should for 3 quarters against a pretty good Iowa team, and then we let a MAC team run up and down the field on us and control TOP.

Are there ANY radio stations streaming this game?? Just replay crap on WIND and also nothing on the Bloomington station. I refuse to pay $21.95 to ESPN GamePlan for this!!

I agree that we're inconsistent, but our D is playing EXACTLY like they did last week, i.e. don't guard anyone until they're in the red zone. It's not like we totally dominated Iowa last week -- they had the ball in the red zone 3 or 4 times in the first half, we just held them to FGs (like we're doing today.)

The crappy non-HD local channel is now all static-y and completely unwatchable.

Ugh. Watching here in Chicago and the broadcast is all effed up. It's all "fuzzy" and distorted -- like I'm watching a heavily damaged VHS.

Are others seeing this? Or, is it just limited to my crappy RCN Chicago broadcast.

Uggh. Juice's tunnel-vision can, at times, remind me of Mike Tomczak. This is going to be a maddening game.
