It's really too bad for Coach Carmody and the NU program. Seems like they have had a bad string of luck. If the younger Jeff Ryan is anything like his father (and he sure seems like it), he is a heck of a good guy, as is Coble. I wish them all well.

It blows. They had an outside shot at the NCAAs this year (for first time ever). Zero shot now. As a frequent visitor to Welsh-Ryan Arena, I was looking forward to more excitement than usual. Oh, well. At least the Illini are visiting in January.

And Northwestern will continue their streak of not making the NCAA Tournament.
