I can't imagine the time it took the author to compile this. 200 songs ranked (subjectively of course). But what makes this site absolutley amazing is the write-ups on each of the ranked songs--Rolling Stone quality write-ups, and the ability to listen to each song as you read the notes.
Do yourself a favor and read the notes for Born to Run--we all know the song, of course--and then listen to the song. It'll remind you of the first time you heard it. Actually, this works for virtually all the songs in the list.
This was, as one commenter said, a labor of love.

Thanks for that--a lot of argument starters there! Bruce is finishing up two nights at MSG tonight playing "The River" end to end, after doing the same last night with "The Wild, The Innocent, and The E Street Shuffle."

Great sight, I really think Tunnel of Love is his best overall album. I've seen him live many times and have never been disappointed.

Great list, with a few quibbles. In particular, the last carnical and the rising s/b much higher. Otherwise, fantastic reading

I've read fully half the write-ups, and I just discovered the site a couple days ago. I've always loved reading liner notes :) My favorites are probably Backstreets (ironically, the write-up I disagreed with the most), Thunder Road and Point Blank.

For a list that favors "Born in the U.S.A." songs ("Bobby Jean" is higher than "Thunder Road"), I'm surprised he didn't include a couple of my favorite outtakes from that album that ended up on "Tracks," "Stand on It" and "Janey, Don't You Lose Heart."
