I've only ever seen Michigan referred to as "scUM" on this board, but I'm sure it's done elsewhere. It's pretty widely used here, but I think it's silly.

Apparently "Not Sure" thinks the BCS committee gives a care about who schools play. That's why Iowa had a SOS of 12 and was not ranked ahead of Alabama and Texas with SOS's of 34 and 31 respectively.

Isn't SOS the reason Boise St. is gonna get shunned? I would love to see Boise St. get a chance to play Florida, but doubt we'll see it though. Boise St. WANTS to play against the big boys. They are begging for tougher non-conference games.

If they want a tougher schedule, then they should join a better conference. I think they are one of the best team's this year, but until they can run the gauntlet of a Big12, Pac10, B10, or SEC schedule they do not deserve a shot at the national title. Good they beat Oregon. But they almost lost to La. Tech as well. How well would they do playing Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri in consecutive weeks? Maybe just going out on a limb here, but I would say not quite as well as a 4 week stretch of playing Hawaii, San Jose St., La. Tech, and Idaho. There is a reason they will never reach the top ranking despite the number of wins they have and until they solve that problem they don't deserve a shot at the title. That said, I do have a cure that does not involve them leaving the WAC - a national playoff.
