A well called, well played drive. I must be watching an alternate universe;it is Halloween.

I don't get it...the game is supposed to be on out here in Colorado, but they have some other game, because the team in orange just scored first.

The offense is clicking pretty well, but Juice still can't hit the broad side of a barn. He had Benn and LeShoure wide open on that drive.

And Eller wasn't anywhere near the barn!

I know it's a simple statement, but the bottom line is that this team just doesn't make plays. Both of those passes by Juice were easy throws to make. And the field goal was certainly makeable.
Spoken from someone who is an ardent Zook basher, that last drive had nothing to do with the coaching staff.

that half made me sick to watch...other than the first drive we've sucked on offense. I don't think it's time for Charest though..We're down 6 at half..give Juice some more time

I don't know who should be in there in the second half. I'm sick of seeing Juice making freshman mistakes as a senior. Absolutely no reason Juice should take that long to throw the ball. The play calling is absolutely atrocious...Note to Schultz and Zook: THEY FIGURED OUT HOW TO STOP THE RUNNING GAME, THROW THE BALL!!

Juice is making Michigan's defense look good. Even the announcers are saying he's just making mistake after mistake, whether it's not making reads properly or being unable to react to the defense.

We need Charest in the game, but we also need better play calling and blocking.

At this point, Juice almost reminds me of Steve Sax and a few other baseball players that had no idea where the ball was going when they threw it. That pass to Benn wasn't even close. He has no confidence throwing the ball 20 yards.
It seems as if the team has no faith in Juice and he can't energize them. Craig James was right on that last possession, just get rid of the ball. Might as well give Charest a shot.
Isn't it something, for all the supposed athletes Illinois has, that we can't break a kick-off return, we can't break a punt return, etc.

Yes, you could put John Elway or Peyton Manning in the game and with this kind of play calling and protection they would be going nowhere too.

Hawthorne ran down a long pass play and tackled the Michigan guy at the 1. Illinois held them on 4 runs and got a turn over on downs. Momentum turned and Illinois drove down for a touchdown.
Fumble!!!! Whooooooo

Hawthorne made the biggest individual play I have seen from an Illini in YEARS. On a 3rd and 8 early in the 3rd, Forcier found a WR wide open and he ran straight down the middle of the field, headed for the end zone. Hawthorne caught him from behind, catching up from 10 yards behind. He tackled the guy on the 1; The Illini D held on 4 downs inside the 1 and then we go 99 2/3rd yards to take the lead.
The rest is history.
