Alright, I know it's an exhibition basketball game against a woefully overmatched opponent that we can only watch for $2.99 with a high-speed Internet connection, but...considering the current football season, I am looking forward to it!

Defense looks reasonable, even good at times. DJ a litte too excited and out of control. Figuring out a roster should be interesting.

15-1 Illinois with about 12 mins left in the first half (no score/time on the BTN broadcast). Obviously the team has given up no field goals, though my impression is that Missouri Southern is a pretty miserable shooting team.

Keller had the team's first six points and looked pretty good. Richardson has looked either a little sloppy or a little over-excited. Both he and Paul have had beautiful drives to the basket for layups, which we haven't seen much the last couple years.

Was it just me, or did Bertrand just get REALLY high on a rebound?

Noticed the same thing...looks like an outstanding rebounding guard if that's any sign.

After watching 12 minutes of exh bball, I can say this: the athleticism is noticeable. We've upgraded quite a bit. You have to like our size too, although we don't really have a big beefy guy in the paint. Semrau's ok at 6'9", but there are guys that can move him around.

These young guys have a ways to go, if this is any indication, but the ceiling is very very good.
