Pepto Bismol is ready.

Let's do this.
Dead Parrot
I feel 100% better about this team already.

Why?

The orange pants are back!!!
RS57
At least this team is consistent. A train wreck;week after week. Add the name Chip Kelly(Cincy) to the coaching change wish list. But why would he want to leave, except for the challenge( make Illinois a constant Top-20 team and you would be a football legend) and a big pile of money. And of course the team is off to its' usual offensive juggernaut start.
Dead Parrot
Dear Daniel Dufrene, Jason Ford, Troy Pollard, and Justin Green,

Grab some pine.

You're thinking of Brian Kelly, Chip Kelly is the guy who is letting the guy who punched someone in the face back on the team.
maknit_rain
Now go force another punt.
RS57
What is this? A big play not called back by a penalty, do the wonders never cease.
Dead Parrot
Purdue is super flat. We are sloppy but energized. We should win this game.
RS57
Thank you Parrot, it's getting so you can't tell the Kelly's without a scorecard. He probably wouldn't be a bad coaching thought either.

It's Skip Kelly you're thinking of. I think Butch Holtz or Brian Jones would be a better hire.

Brian Jones died in a swimming pool accident in 1969. That's a lateral move, why would he want the Illinois job?
maknit_rain
Get Juice out of there.
Dead Parrot
Dere Hicks is the most easily blockable player I've ever watched.
Dead Parrot
Great execution on that screen. God I wish we were good enough to run that.
maknit_rain
This game is winnable if the guys coaching defense knew what an adjustment was.

Unfortuantely, we never see those.
maknit_rain
Travon Bellamy showing a complete lack of ball skills on that penalty. Vontae may have picked that off.
maknit_rain
Troy Pollard once again proving he's the most underutilized guy on the team (after Benn).
Cheese Doodles
Pull that kid! He threw the ball to Benn!
maknit_rain
1-11 is inevitable.

We can end the game thread with this one right now. This is the worst implosion of a football program I've ever seen. How can Ron Guenther not resign this afternoon? Wait, he thinks he's the best AD on the planet.
maknit_rain
Ron Zook should be fired on the spot for that bit of clock management.
Cheese Doodles
Pull that kid! He throws down field!

marv
why did we just put juice back in?

are you serious ron?

this is the most hilariously bad football team at absolutely every level that i've ever followed
Cheese Doodles
Oh what the hell!? Zook pulls the QB at 2nd and Goal!?

Way to build that confidence Zooker!
maknit_rain
Zook is just rolling dice.

Inexcusable that Charest wasn't put back in the game after the holding call.
CJIllini05
This is a joke
Cheese Doodles
IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
kzimmer001
eff you ron zook
MistakenJ
Good Lord, if you can't see right there that Ron Zook should be pulled then I don't know what else needs to be said or seen.
Dead Parrot
what a clusterf*ck that became.
STB
Wow! You take the guy who finally moves the ball down to the goal line and pull him for someone who has "experience". What the deuce are you thinking? This is poor coaching and then a missed FG chip shot. I can not say about this team what hasn't been said before.

Illini82
un f--king believable!!!

We have to be a fricking laughing stock.

1ST AND GOAL FROM THE 1 AND WE DON'T EVEN GET A FIELD GOAL!!!

I BET WE MAKE SPORTS CENTER TONIGHT ON THAT PIECE OF FECAL SMEGMA11 cuss.GIF cuss.GIF cuss.GIF cuss.GIF
jms397
We keep hitting the self-destruct button. Unbelievable. And nice putting Juice back in. Fire Zook now!!!!
erik
Zook is the Charlie Brown of the coaching fraternity.
chickengeorge
That Charest does have an odd throwing style, but he has hit receivers where they can catch the ball.
KarenUhOh
It's not about the X's and the O's. It's about the Willys and the Nillys.

I prefer to think of Zook as Dilbert's "Pointy Haired Boss" of the coaching fraternity. Moves around a lot, throws a few coachspeak phrases around, but cannot coach to save his everloving life.

I'm glad I wasn't watching that sequence. I probably saved myself $1,000 from not putting a lamp through my TV.

His release is similar to Chad Henne's.

I'm not joking when I say that it was Zook's worst moment in his 5 years here.

Ineptitude on multiple fronts.

BRILLIANT!!!!!!
coal country illini
Fire'em all! Now. I mean right friggin' now--not after the game or after the season.

Right NOW!
RS57
Skip Kelly, Brian Kelly, Chip Kelly, whats in a name. Hell, with it being close to Halloween, they could have dug up Gene Kelly and had as much chance of winning. I have been watching bad Illinois football since the mid-60's, and this team ranks with some of the worst, in terms of performance, so far. And really there is no reason Illinois football cannot be a top 20 program; somehow Minn. and Iowa have managed to do it on a consistent basis.
chickengeorge
How do we miss tackles that badly? We had a missed sack on third down, I think, that was a gimme. Anyway, looking forward to watching this kid as QB. Just to see what happens.
STB
I'm watching to see if Charest starts the 2nd half. Plus I'm watching the Purdue offense and see how much clock they eat to score on their offensive drives. Will Purdue even punt this game?
illester
Does Zook have ADHD? I think he forgot would was the quarterback on that drive.

If Charest isn't the QB, then I'm done with this team for the year.
illester
Great to hear Kittner (on the radio) firing on Zook and the team. eusa_clap.gif
Chief
Thank you Purdue for those errors..now who is the QB
