What an awesome display of NAIA level football.
Illinigrad
What a wonderful display of interest in Illinois FB sponsored by Ron Zook.
simsportsworld
not going to feel at all optimistic with a win today....
simsportsworld
And the missed tackles, overthrows deep, bad coverage and rediculous penalties are not promising either....
RobinsonIllini
Big Ten Network sucks.
jimturpinsdentures
Illiinois has that nice weight room....do any of their players bother to use it?? We get pushed all over the field by every team we play!
maknit_rain
You think it may be useful to mention that Hardemann had neck surgery in the offseason, B10 Network? Hell no, let's interview Trent Green.

Come to think of it, these guys probably have no effing clue that Hardemann almost had to quit playing because of a neck injury.

Is there a reson why this needed mentioned when we have a guy laying motionless on a stretcher?
RS57
Damn, every time I see something like that I think Darryl Stingley. Luckily, medical care for that type of injury has progressed by 1000% since then.

Dude, I wrote this long before that happened...and FYI can you dispute what I said??
BigToe
They finish an offensive drive in the first half!!! Go Illini!!!

One of these days, our staff is going to stop dicking around with the "RB by committee" and realize that Leshoure is our best back.
MiniDitka
LeShoure is really starting to distinguish himself as our best RB. He has the best combo of speed and power, and by FAR the best hands. In fact, he may have the best hands of any RB I've ever seen in an Illini uniform.

BTW, I'm not so sure the refs made the right call on Eller's FG attempt.

No you didn't. At least you didn't send it.

Are we sure that didn't go in?

I can't say with any confidence that it did, but it sure looked close. Might have gone directly over the post (which I realize would be no good).

You sent it 2 minutes before my post. My post was made as Hardemann was being wheeled off.

I'll get a life if you quit lying? Sound good?

In fairness, he just said he wrote it before them. I know I sometimes I write stuff and get caught up before I can post it.

Why don't you get the panties out of you @ss, stop trying to assess my internet message board timing and usage, and comment on my post which if you recall correctly is regarding how we get pushed all over the field....and I haven't heard your response. Edt: IU just scored

And I gave him the benefit of the doubt regarding just that if you check my post above.

Dere Hicks. Your jockstrap's still on the field buddy.

Ugly.

Confused who teaches these kids to tackle? I never knew that getting on your knees and hoping the WR will run over you was considered proper.

Why are you so OBSESSED with my timing on my posts??? Why don't you concentrate on living your own GD life and do what I assume you came to this board to do and that is DISCUSS THE GAME!!!!

Sorry I ruined your night, bud.

Goin' out for a few. I'll be sure to have one for you. Caps lock is in the middle of the keyboard on the left.

Cheers.

We're losing in every facet of the game, minus turnovers, but not by an overwhelming margin. If they can somehow manage to make some adjustments during halftime I still like Illinois's chances for a W here.
RS57
I offer my apologies to all NAIA players; that was a low blow to compare them to this composting pile that we are watching.
chickengeorge
How did Juice miss Benn on 3rd down of our last drive in the second quarter? That is simply amazing. I realize he does some things right, but how does he miss him? That cost us 3.

Sounds good, if you'd like to talk about the games come on over and you can have all the beer you want. Leave the personal judgements aside, ok?

Go Illini!

Well lets focus on the positive . We have not missed as many feild goals. That's a moral victory leading into next week. We will have to key that into our players minds and hope they capitalize on it for Purdue.
BigToe
I think a heavy dose of #5 should be considered by the Illini in the second half.
BigToe
"Look! Our helmets have wings."

Just imagining Yakety Sax playing makes watching the Illini much more enjoyable.

As much as I have trouble caring, and as stupid as we are for being close to the ball at all, we just got screwed there. Smith got his foot out of the way.

...and thus ends the single worst possession of football on offense and defense that two teams have played in the history of organized football...my goodness that was hard to watch
BigToe
Smith had his foot out of the way and the art of calling offensive holding must be lost when the Hoosiers have the rock. Nurse and Brent are getting mauled on their way towards the Indiana QB of the moment.
jimturpinsdentures
If you're not a fan of either of these teams, how are you not asleep yet??

Does he have any eligibility left? He would probably do less damage out on the field!

praying for basketball season or death's sweet release

I've really never seen anything like this. It's like this team is allergic to sustained drives. EVERY drive they somehow shoot themselves in the foot. Every single one. Bad penalties, poorly-timed turnovers, miscommunications, etc. Every drive.
WilliamsCouldTieitWitha3..
Oh Juice... :wall

Though that look on Zook's face was priceless. It communicated something along the lines of, "I'm going to be out of a job soon." Maybe that's just wishful thinking.
Ormazd
Angels just tied Yankees at 2 in the 5th, if you want to watch sports.

Ron Guenther needs to resign, tonight.
