Not really. Playing in the NBA will may make you more valuable. You don't see the premiere European leagues raiding the D-league for talent.

Most of these teams play with a very tight budget. They are not going to overpay for a guy because he got cut from the Warriors.

True, but someone was apparently impressed enough to sign him after he got cut.
I wonder if the offer was better or worse than ones he turned down before.
