Former Illinois wide receiver Mike Martin, now a coach at Taft High in Cincinnati, told Rivals.com that Taft defensive lineman Tank Carradine gave the Illinois coaching staff a verbal commitment after visiting Champaign last weekend.

Carradine is rated as a three-star prospect on Rivals.com and a four-star prospect on Scout.com. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound defensive end has offers from Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, North Carolina State, Pitsburgh, Wisconsin and Cincinnati, among others.
